DIN Power switch describtion

DIN power switch module, connect the main power to the individual power groups with a programmable solid state fuse. Each module sends information about the active current consumption back to the touch panel for an easy overview of the power group current level.

DIN power switch box, contains the DIN power switch modules in a standard DIN module box. Data connection and supply power to each power switch module is established via the back panel, without the use of wires or connectors. 

The use of specially made copper power rails ensures an easy and cordless installation of power switches which makes the installation simple to maintain.

The enclosure is made in an IP65 waterproof version and is available in 4 sizes, 4x1M, 8x1M, 12x1M and 24x1M. Using several smaller DIN enclosures throughout the installation reduces overall cable usage and simplifies the installation.

The DIN power switch module is a semiconductor power switch, that is controlled via the system's LIN bus. Each power switch has a fully configurable fast fuse with up to 30A load and a configurable slow fuse with programmable maximum load and time. The module fits into a standard 1M-DIN module. 

To include a DIN-power switch unit in an InTouch7 system, a unique ID address must be configured. This is done by setting the two turn wheels on the front of the unit to a unique address (1 – 99). This address is then used to identify the unit in the InTouch7 touch panel configuration setup. Up to 24 DIN-power switch modules can be configured in an InTouch7 system.

Data connection and supply power to the module is provided via a spring contact, without the use of wires or connectors. This ensures a unique structure with minimum use of cable connections and without the use of special tools for mounting. 

The modular system architecture enables extremely flexible replacement and addition of new units in service and makes the system future-proof. 

In case of system failure, a unique simple bypass fuse enables manual operation of the system, regardless of the nature of the system fault.
